It's been over two years since Ben Browning's last solo LP, Even Though was released and his new song I Concede showcases a more intimate and breezier direction than his previous work. The Cut Copy bassist is set to resume his solo career after working on the latest Cut Copy album Freeze, Melt released in August 2020 and contributing vocals and songwriting to Poolside's Low Tide album.

Featuring tight 70's sounding drums that hold together wandering synth bass, washed out keyboards and falsetto vocals the song portrays a familiar yet somewhat psychedelic feel. Recorded and mixed by Browning at home in San Francisco while he and his partner were awaiting the birth of their first child, the song is also the first release on Browning's own imprint Kardinian Records.
